| dc.description.abstract | The experiment was conducted during the period from January, 2018 to May 2018 to study the effect of sulphur and phosphorus on the growth, yield and nutrient component of BARI Soybean-6 (Glycine max L.). In this experiment, the treatment consisted of four Levels of sulphur viz. 0, 20, 40 and 60 kg S ha 60 and 80 kg P ha -1 -1 and four levels of phosphorus viz. 0, 40, . The experiment was laid out in a Randomized Complete Block Design with three replications. The collected data were statistically analyzed for evaluation of the treatment effect. Results showed that a significant variation among the treatments in respect majority of the observed parameters. The highest plant height (44.68 cm and 61.90 cm at 30 DAS and 60 DAS respectively) was found from P + 80 kg P ha -1 ) combination treatment. The maximum number of leaves plant from the individual treatment of S and P were found at S 3 (60 kg S ha -1 ) and P ) treatment whereas the maximum number of leaves plant -1 (10.26 and 17.20 at 30 DAS and 60 DAS respectively) was found in P (3.61), seeds plant -1 3 S 3 3 S 3 3 (60 kg S ha -1 (80 kg P ha treatment. The highest values of seeds pod (59.24), weight of 100 seed (13.50 g) observed in S . Grain yield of soybean was influenced significantly due to the application of phosphorus and sulphur. The highest grain yield (1.96 t ha -1 ) was found in where 60 kg S ha -1 (S ) was applied and the lowest was recorded in P 0 treatment. The highest seed yield (2.08 t ha 3 ) was observed from S 3 P 3 treatment combination. The combined use of 40 kg S ha -1 3 -1 and 60 kg P ha along with recommended doses of other fertilizer would be beneficial to increase the seed yield of soybean variety BARI soybean-6. | en_US |
