| dc.description.abstract | The field experiment was conducted at the Horticulture Farm, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka during the period from Novembre 2011 to January 2012. In experiment, the treatment consisted of four organic manures viz. OM : no organic manure, OM 1 : Cowdung, OM 2 : Poultry manure, OM : Vermicompost and three spacing viz. S 1 (40 cm × 20 cm), S 2 (40 cm × 25 cm), S 3 (40 cm × 30 cm).Two factorial experiment was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design with three replications. Significant variations in all parameter were recorded due to effect of organic manure and spacing at different DAT. In case of vermicompost, maximum gross yield (26.71 t/ha) was obtained from OM and minimum (18.02 t/ha) was from OM . For spacing, highest gross yield (24.74t/ha) was recorded from S 2 0 and lowest (22.40t/ha) was from S . In case of combined effect, highest gross yield (28.42 t/ha) was obtained from OM 1 and lowest (16.90 t/ha) was from OM 0 S . The highest benefit cost ratio (2.46) was obtained from OM 3 S 2 1 and the lowest (1.78) was recorded form OM 0 S . So, vermicompost with 40 cm × 25 cm spacing showed better performance. | en_US |
