The focus the present study is to evaluate the impact of parucipauon 10 DIPSHIKHA 3ClllitiCSon the very poor respondents of selected union (Isania) of Bochagonj upazilla of Dinajpur District in Baugladcsh, The Specllic objectives were to determme and describe the extent of respondents development activities. their Impact 01 participation III D1PSHIKHA programmes as perceived by themselves. Problem faced by the respondents in development activities and to explore the relatlOl1Shlp of the respondents selected characteristics with their impact of participation in rural development acuvities, Characteristics are Age. Family Size. Education. Homestead Size. Credit Availability, Use of Credit. Annual Income. Training 1tCC1\ed. Contact with DIPSHIKHA Personnel, and Attitude towards DIPSHIKHA. One hundred MOlen selected consututed the sample for this study area. The impact of participation In DIPSHIKHA rural de\elopmcot activities \\"c1S the dependent variable and selected characteristics of the respondents \\ere mdependent Iariables. CorlflCiem of correlauon (r) was computed in order to explore the relationships between the concerned variables. Though out the stud} io';t percent level of probability was used as the basis for statistical significance. The findings revealed that there were wide vanations in the participation of respondents in DIPSIIIKHA rural development achvities as indicated by the standardized participation, Impact score (SPIS) ranging from (97.75 to 22.5) against the possible range from 0-100. The Highest participated impact was improve drinking water source (97.75) and lowest range Increased tree and Iruu cultivallon (25.5). The findings Indicated that I to 95 extreme change increased skill, improved altitude, increased caulc and poultry and no extreme change vegetable cultivation. Highest substantial change food habit (64) and lowest substanual change source of dnnkmg water (4). Low change range 2 to 59. The highest 10\\ change improved altitude 59 and lowest-low change usc pure drinking water other family activities (2). Highest very low change 36 vegetable cultivation and lowest low change health condition and change of income. The over-all Impact of partictpauon scores range from 26 to 71 against the possible range score 0 - 80 with an 3\ erage score ~8.11 while found that most of 66 percent of the respondents had medium impact of panicipauon 20 percent 10\1 and 14 percent high impact parucipation The findings further showed that as many as eight charactensucs of the respondents namely Educauon, Homestead Size. Credit Availability. Use of Credit, Annual Income, Traming Received. Contact with DlPSIIIKHA Personnel and Atlltude Towards DIPSHIKHA were positively associated with the Impact of Participation in ICDP (Integrated Community Development Project) under DIPSHIKHA.
