| dc.description.abstract | A field experiment was conducted at Sher-e-lIangla Agricultural University Farm. Dhaka 1207 during the Rabi season of 2005-2006 to study the effect of integrated use of inorganic fertilizers and vermicompost on the nutrient concentration, uptake. yield and oil content of soybean (Glvcinc mar var. Sholiag). The experimental soil was cla\ loam in texture having pH of6.3. The treatments used were 4 levels of each of ermicornposts viz. V0 (0 t ha), V, (2 t ha'). V2 (4 I ha').V3 (6 t ha t) and chemical fertilizers (N, P20, K20, 5) viz. Fc, (0-0-0-0 kg ha'), F, = low (20-60-40-10 kg ha'). F2 = medium (30-80-60-20 kg ha). F3 = high (40-100-80-30 kg had) of N-P20-K2O-S in 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications. The results demonstrated that the increasing doses of vermicomposts and chemical fertilizers increased grain and straw yields of soybean significantly. The maximum significant grain yield was obtained with the treatment combination. V2F2 and that of straw yield was obtained with the treatment combination. \'3F3 The highest doses of vermieompost and chemical fertilizers increased N. P, K and S concentrations in soybean plant significantly and also enhanced N. F, K and S uptake significanily at the haresting stage. The maximum significant N. P and K uptake by soybean grain were obtained with the treatment combination. V2F: and S uptake was obtained with the treatment combination. \'3F;. The maximum significant oil content in soybean was obtained with the treatment combination, V;Fa. Application of chemical fertilizers failed to increase organic matter content of post harvest soil, whereas vermicomposts showed a significant positive eflèct. Vermicompost and chemical fertilizers increased P. S and Zn status signiflcantly and that ofN and K appreciably in the soil under study. | en_US |
