| dc.description.abstract | Four storage structures bin C 1 = Plastic jar, C 2 = Aluminium sheet bin, C = Jute bag with polythene lining and C 4 = Jute bag (without polythene lining) and five botanicals B = Neem oil, B 2 = Mustard oil, B 3 = Karanja leaf powder, B 4 = Nishinda leaf powder, B = Banokalmi leaf powder, B = Untreated control were evaluated for their effect on the incidence of pulse beetle, Callosobruchus chinensis infesting gram seeds in storage. The experiment was conducted in a Completely Randomized Design with 2 factors included 4 replications. Highest eggs (59.75 eggs/100seeds) were found in C 6 (Jute bag without polythene lining) and lowest eggs (28 eggs/100 seeds) in C 1 4 3 5 (Plastic jar) and (13.38 eggs/100 seeds) in B (Mustard oil). In combined effect highest eggs (100 eggs/100seeds) were found in C which was statistically similar with C 3 B 6 and C 2 B 6 . Lowest eggs were found in C combination. Weight loss was found lowest (6.45 g) in C (Plastic jar). Highest weight loss (21.80 g) was found in C 4 1 (Jute bag without polythene lining). In case of combination, weight loss was found lowest (1.53g) in C 1 B combination.
