| dc.description.abstract | The experiment was conducted during the period of June, 2011 to May, 2012 to determine the prevalence of seed borne fungal pathogens of BRRI Dhan 46 and to search suitable antagonistic bacteria against seed borne fungi of rice and also to evaluate the effectiveness of antagonistic bacteria in controlling seed borne disease of rice. Five seed borne fungi viz. Fusarium spp., Bipolaris oryzae, Curvularia spp., Gliocladium sp and Aspergillus flavus were isolated from the seeds of rice. Fifteen probable antagonistic bacterial isolates were isolated from rhizosphere soil and screening was done to detect the most suitable antagonistic bacterial isolates against seed borne fungi of rice. Among fifteen isolates six isolates highest seed germination | en_US |
