dc.description.abstract An experiment was conducted during the period of October 2016 to February 2017 on the rooftop of Agriculture Faculty at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka-1207. Treatment as three levels of growing media i.e. M 1 =Broken stone, M 2 = 50% khoa + 50% broken stone, M = Khoa; and two levels of variety i.e. V 1 = Exotic tomato line (AVRDC), V 2 3 = BARI Tomato 15. Result indicated that almost all of the parameters varied significantly. The highest plant height (78.67 cm), maximum number of fruits (31.01) and highest fruit yield (858.67 g plant -1 ) were obtained from M 2 . Whereas it was the lowest in M . Considering the varietal performance, the highest plant height (81.00 cm), maximum number of fruits (33.11) and highest fruit yield (840.11 g plant ) were obtained from V 2 . The treatment combination M 2 V gave the best performance in terms of growth and yield parameters. So, 50% khoa + 50% broken stone and BARI Tomato 15 could be used to cultivate tomato in roof top aquavegeculture system en_US
