dc.description.abstract the experiment was coitdtieled at Sher-IT-Rangla Agricultural University farm. Dhaka. Rice L3RRI dliztn 29) was rot ii in 48 plots (8 fertilizer and manure treatments x 2 dilIcrent levels of irrigation N 3 replieations).The experiment consists of 2 factors i.e. irrigation and fertilizer plus manure. Two Irrigation treatments (Fm" Continuous flooding. 1 2r Saturated condition) and eight fertilizer treatments T,: Control. T 1 (I 00% N 0P1.K4 S10Zn Recommended dose).12: 50% NPKSZn + 5 ton cowdung/ha.T; : 70% NPKSZn 3 tort cowdung/ha. •F4: 50% NI'KSZn - 5 ton conipost/haJ: 70% NPKSZn + 3 ton compost /ha.L: 50% NPKSZn 3.5 ton poultry manureiha.l: 70% NPKSZn + 2.1 ton poultry trianure/ha. The experiment as laid out in a split plot design (SPD) with three replicat ions. The layout was made d istrihtmting two irrigations continuous flooding and saturated condition) to I he ma in plots and lerti I her plus manure treatments to the sub plots. A PVC core (50 cm kngtti and 20 cm diameter) %as installed upto 40 em depth in the middle of each plot and rice was not grown into the core. Pore-water samples were collected from inner and outside of the cores b using rhizon sampler during the different dates of rice growing periods..he N. I'. K and S concentrations were varied in the pore \cater samples or outside and inside the pore. I uglier levels of N and P concentrations were found in flooded condition and higher pore water K was found in saturated condition. Alter harvest, the total ntminher of effective I il Icr/li ill, plant height, pan ide length. Ill led grains /pan ide. 1000 seed v. eight. grain antI straw yields were recorded. The grain and straw samples were analyzed for N, P. K and S concentrations. the grain and straw yield were not significantly affected by different levels of irrigation, the yield parameters and yields were significantly affected by fertilizer trealments. Application of organic plus inorganic fertilizer performed better for increasing growth and yield of Bore rice. The highest effective tillers/hill (17.16). 1000 grain weight (22.33 g) and grain yield (7.83 t/ha) were Iliunti from 1. (70% NPKSZn 2.1 ton poultry manure/ha) treatment and 'I' (control treatment) showed lowest grain yield. The highest straw yield (8.30 tonim) was found in (100% N c P1 cK4 ,S,,Ln, Recommended dose) treatment. ftc combined effects oF' irrigation and fertilizer were significantly affected the grain and straw yield of Boro rice and highest grain (7.93 ton/ha) and straw (847 tonha) were lound from Il, (saturated condition + 70 0 /* NPKSZn + 2.1 ton pottitty manure/ha) and IT1 (saturated condition + 70% NPKSZn + 3 ton cowdung/ha) treatment combinations. The higher level of N, P. K and S concentrations in grain and straw were found where organic plus inorganic fertilizer were applied combinedlv. en_US
