dc.description.abstract The experiment was conducted through November 2012 to March 2013 in the Experimental Field of Sher-c-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka. Bangladesh to find out the effect of irrigation, sowing time and variety on different yield contributing parameters and yield of wheat. The experiment comprised three factors; Factor A: two irrigations, viz. 1: Irrigation; Jo: No irrigation (control). Factor B: three sowing times, viz. S: 18 November. S2: 03 December and 53: 19 December; and Factor C: four improved wheat varieties, viz. V = BAR! Gom-21 (Shatabdi), BAR! Gom-25. V 3 = BAR! Gom-26 and V 4 = BAR! Gom-27. The experiment was laid out in a Split-split plot design with three replications. Irrigation was assigned in the main plot, sowing time was in the sub plots and variety was in the sub-sub plots.. Experimental results indicated that the highest grain yields were obtained with I (2.915 t hi'), Si (2.983 t hi') and V, (2.636 t haj. The interaction treatment IS,V 1 showed significantly the highest yield (3.653 t hi') which was attributed to the maximum values in spikelets spike' (20.22), grains spik&' (66.78), and 1000 grain weight (47.23 g). en_US
