dc.description A Thesis Submitted to the Faculty of Agriculture Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of MASTER OF SCIENCE SOIL SCIENCE SEMESTER: JANUARY-JUNE, 2014 en_US
dc.description.abstract The experiment was conducted during the period from July to December, 2013 in T. Aman season in the experimental area Agronomy farm field of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka AEZ No. 28 0 : 0 kg N ha -1 i.e. control, N 1 : 80 kg N ha : 100 kg N ha -1 and N 3 : 120 kg N ha -1 and Factors B: Levels of sulphur : 0 kg S ha -1 1 : 8 kg S ha -1 and S 2 : 12 kg S ha -1 . The experiment was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design , again the shortest plant 0 2 . The highest grain yield -1 2 , whereas the lowest . The highest N, P, K and S concentration in grain , again the lowest 2 . The highest total N 2 0 , whereas the lowest . The highest available S 2 0 -1 -1 , N , whereas the lowest . For sulphur fertilizer, at 30, 45, 60 and 75 DAT and at harvest, the longest plant , while the shortest plant . The highest grain yield -1 1 0 , while the lowest . The highest N, P, K and S concentration in grain 0 , whereas the lowest 2 . The highest total N , and the lowest 0 . The highest available S 1 -1 2 0 0 0 was recorded from S 2 , and the lowest . The highest available S 2 0 , and the lowest . Due to the interaction effect of different levels of nitrogen and sulphur, at 30, 45, 60 and 75 DAT and at harvest the longest plant 2 S , whereas the shortest plant 1 0 S . The highest grain yield -1 0 , whereas the lowest -1 0 S 0 2 . The highest N, P, K and S concentration in grain and the lowest . The highest total N 2 S , whereas the lowest total N 0 S 0 2 . The highest available S 2 S 2 , whereas the lowest 0 S . It was observed that, 100.0 kg N ha -1 and 8.0 kg S ha -1 0 can be more beneficial for farmers to get better yield. S 1 0 2 0 S S 2 0 en_US
