dc.description.abstract The study was conducted at the Horticulture Farm of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh during the period from October 2010 to May 2011. The experiment consisted with two factors. Factor A: Three levels of spacing: S cm; S P 0 2 : 30 cm × 25 cm and S : control; P 1 : 100 kg; P 2 3 1 : 30 cm × 20 : 30 cm × 30 cm and Factor B: Four levels of phosphorus: : 150 kg and P 3 : 200 kg P 2 O 5 /ha respectively. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design case of spacing, the highest number of spike highest yield of corm lowest at S 1. 3 2 and the and both the parameters were In case of phosphorus, the highest number of spike corm 2 and both the parameters were lowest at P interaction effect the highest number of spike was recorded from S the lowest P 2 O 5 2 P 2. The highest benefit cost ratio 3 P 0 . So, the combination of 30 cm × 25 cm spacing with 150 kg /ha is better for growth and flowering of gladiolus. en_US
