dc.description.abstract An experiment was conducted at the Horticulture Farm, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, during November 2010 to February 2011 to study the effect of organic manures on growth, yield and shelf life of broccoli cultivars. The experiment consisted of two factors, Factor A: Four levels of organic manure, viz. M 0 : Control; M 1 : Vermicompost; M 2 : Poultry manure, M : Cowdung and Factor B: Three broccoli cultivars, viz. V 1 : Premium, V : Green magic amd V : Forest green. Three storage conditions were used to find shelf life, viz. S 1 3 : Stored in open condition at room temperature : Stored in perforated poly-bag at room temperature : Stored in perforated poly-bag at refrigerator 2 3 and 6.86 t/ha from V . The treatment combination of M 2 V 2 2 gave the highest curd yield 3 2 remained good condition for longer time ( en_US
