Abstract:
A field experiment was conducted at the Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University
Farm Dhaka, Bangladesh during November, 2017 to March, 2018 in rabi
season with a view to study the growth and yield of chickpea as influenced by
NPK fertilizers and irrigation frequency. The experiment was carried out in
split plot design with three replication. The treatments consisted of NPK
fertilizers treatments at main plot factor A as F
1
= 25 % less than recommended
dose of fertilizer, F
2
= Recommended dose of fertilizer (45kg urea ha
+ 85 kg
TSP ha

), F

. In factor B at sub plot there were four levels as I

=Single
irrigation at vegetative stage, I
2
= Single irrigation at reproductive stage, I

Irrigation both at vegetative and reproductive stages. Data on different
parameters on yield and yield contributing characters were recorded and
variation was observed. Results indicated that the maximum height of plant
