Abstract:
The experiment was conducted during the period from November, 2013 to March
2014 at the farm of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh to
study the effect of zinc and boron on growth and yield of BARI motorshuti-1. The
experiment comprised of two factors; Factor A: Levels of zinc (4 levels)- Zn

Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications.
For
different levels of zinc, at 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 DAT and at harvest, the tallest plant
(15.75, 36.15, 55.60, 69.29, 81.67 and 86.76 cm, respectively) was recorded from
Zn
3
, whereas the shortest plant (12.23, 26.59, 37.50, 52.60, 65.96 and 72.94 cm,
respectively) was found from Zn
0
. The highest seed yield hectare
