dc.description A Thesis Submitted to the Dept. of Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka-1207 In partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of MASTER OF SCIENCE HORTICULTURE SEMESTER: JULY-DECEMBER, 2014 en_US
dc.description.abstract The experiment was conducted at the Horticulture Farm of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka during the period from March - August 2014, to find the effect of nitrogen and phosphorus on growth and yield of okra. BARI Dherosh-1 was used as test crop in the experiment. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design with three replications and was consisted of two factors. Nitrogen fertilizer as N 0 : 0, N 1 : 115, N 2 : 135 and N : 155 kg N/ha and Phosphorus fertilizer as P 0 : 0; P 1 : 70; P 2 : 90 and P 3 3 : 110 kg P 2 O /ha respectively. All the parameters were significantly influenced by different levels of nitrogen and phosphorus. Due to the effect of nitrogen, the highest yield 2 and the lowest yield 0. 5 In case of phosphorus, the highest yield 2 and the lowest yield For combined effect, the highest yield 2 P and the lowest yield 0 P 0 . So 135 kg N/ha with 90 kg P 2 O /ha was the suitable combination for okra production. 5 2 0. en_US
