Abstract:
The study was conducted at the Horticulture Farm of Sher-e-Bangla
Agricultural University, Dhaka to find out the effect of different levels of
gibberellic acid and boron on growth and yield of broccoli. The experiment
consisted of two factors: Factor A: Gibberellic acid

:
control, G
1
: 100 ppm, G
2
: 200 ppm GA
and Factor B: boron

: control, B

: 200 ppm B. The two factors experiment was
laid out in Randomized Completely Block Design with three replications. In
case of different levels of GA
, the highest main and secondary curd yield

, while the lowest yield
0

. For different levels of boron, the highest main and
secondary curd yield
, whereas the
lowest yield
. Due to interaction effect, the
highest main and secondary curd yield

From growth, yield and economic point of view, it
is apparent that the combination of 200 ppm GA
0.
with 200 ppm boron was
suitable for broccoli cultivation.
