Abstract:
The experiment was conducted with twenty one genotypes of tossa jute from
different geographic origin at the Jute Agriculture Experimental Station, Jagir,
Manikgonj, Bangladesh Jute Research Institute 
The highest inter-genotypic distance 
and
the lowest distance

and G
. The highest intra-cluster
distance was found in cluster II

Considering the cluster, inter-genotypic distance and other agronomic
performance, the genotypes G9, G15, G21 from cluster I; G6, G12, G18, G20,
from cluster III; G7, G11 from cluster V were considered to be better parents
for future use in hybridization programme.
