dc.description.abstract A field experiment was conducted at the Horticulture Farm, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka during the period of November 2015 to March 2016. The experiment comprised of three levels of sowing time viz., S = 20 October, S 2 = 10 November, and S = 30 November and four levels of mulches viz., M 0 = Control 3 1 = Black polythene, M = Water hyacinth, M 3 ii 2 =Rice straw. There were twelve treatment combinations and the experiment was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design with three replications. All the studied parameters significantly influenced by sowing time, mulching and their combination. The maximum fresh weight of bulb per plant treatment. The minimum fresh weight bulb 2 treatment. Significantly higher fresh weight of bulb 3 treatment while the lowest yield 0 1 treatment. Incase of combined effect the highest fresh weight of bulb 2 M 1 while the lowest yield 1 M treatment. In terms of economic return, the highest net return 2 M 1 treatment combination. So, S treatment combination is best for commercial garlic production. en_US
