Abstract:
The experiment was conducted at the central Farm of Sher-e-Bangla
Agriculutral University, Dhaka during the period from February to July 2007
to find out the effect of spacing and potassium on the growth and yield of
summer onion. The experiment consisted with two factors. Factor A: Three
types of plant spacing; S:15cm

Factor B: Four levels of potassium; }Cg:Okg IC

Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). In case of spacing highest
plant height (30.13cm), fresh weight of bulb (35.75gm), yield (11.64 tfha)
was obtained from S

. In case of potassium highest plant height (32.31cm),
fresh weight of bulb (39.48gm),yield (11.78 t/ha) was obtained from K

case of combined effect highest yield (13.13 tlha) was obtained from the
treatment combination of S
