<title>INFLUENCE OF THE INTEGRATED NUTRIENT MANAGEMENT ON THE GROWTH, YIELD AND NUTRIENT CONTENTS OF BINA DHAN 8</title>
<link>http://localhost:8080/handle/123456789/1996</link>
<description>INFLUENCE OF THE INTEGRATED NUTRIENT MANAGEMENT ON THE GROWTH, YIELD AND NUTRIENT CONTENTS OF BINA DHAN 8
SALEHIN, MST. TABREATUS
A field experiment was conducted at the research field of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural&#13;
University. Dhaka, during the period from November 2012 to May.2013 to study the&#13;
effect of organic manures viz.. Poultry manure. Mustard oil cake, sesame oil cake,&#13;
vermicompost and inorganic fertilizers on yield and nutrient uptake by BINA dhan-8.&#13;
There were altogether II treatments viz.T0 (Control), 1' (100% NPKSZn). 12 (50%&#13;
NPKSZn + Poultry manure@5t hi'), T3 (75% NPKSZn + Poultry manure@5t ha'). 14&#13;
(50% NPKSZn + Mustard oil cake@5t ha"). T5 (75% NPKSZn ± Mustard oil cake@5t&#13;
ha"). T, (50% NPKSZn +Sesame oil cakc2I;5t ha'). T7 (75% NPKSZn + Sesame oil&#13;
cake@5t hi'), T8 (50% NPKSZn +Vermicompost@St hi'), T9 (75% NPKSZn +&#13;
Vermicompost,5tha 1) and Ito (Poultry manure1.25t ha' + Mustard oil cake4i).1.25t&#13;
ha" - Sesame oilcake @1.25t ha" + Vermicompost @1.25t ha"). The experiment was&#13;
laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. All the&#13;
yield contributing characters were significantly influenced by the application of both&#13;
organic manures and inorganic fertilizer combination. highest plant height, leaves,&#13;
panicle length,1000-seed weight grain yield , straw yield and biological yield were&#13;
obtained when 75% of the recommended doses of N,P,K,S,Zn fertilizer along with 5 t hi&#13;
sesame oil cake was applied and the lowest values of all the parameters were obtained&#13;
from the plants fertilized with neither organic manures and inorganic fertilizers. Nutrient&#13;
contents of BINA dhan S were also significantly affected by different treatments. Highest&#13;
N.P.K and S contents of both grain and straw were obtained from the same treatment&#13;
The lowest nutrient contents were obtained from the control treatmentThe overall results&#13;
suggest that farmers should be advised to use 75% of NPKSZn fertilizers along with 5&#13;
ha" sesame oil cake for getting higher yield and quality in terms of nutrient contents of&#13;
BINA dhan 8under the agro-climatic condition of SALJ.

<title>EFFECTS OF COWDUNG AND CHEMICAL FERTILIZERS ON GROWTH AND YIELD OF AROMATIC RICE BRRI dhan50</title>
<link>http://localhost:8080/handle/123456789/1995</link>
<description>EFFECTS OF COWDUNG AND CHEMICAL FERTILIZERS ON GROWTH AND YIELD OF AROMATIC RICE BRRI dhan50
RATNA, MD. NAJMUS SADAT
The experiment was conducted in the Agronomy field laboratory of Sher-e-Bangla&#13;
Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh during the period from December, 2012 to&#13;
May, 2013 to study the effect of cowdung and chemical fertilizers on growth and yield of&#13;
aromatic rice BRRI dhan50. Five different levels of fertilizers and cowdung as&#13;
recommended by BRRI for BRRI dhsn5O were used as: Ti: 100% Inorganic fertilizer, T2:&#13;
75 % Inorganic fertilizer + 25% Cowdung, Ti: 50 % Inorganic fertilizer + 50% Cowdung,&#13;
14: 25 % Inorganic fertilizer + 75% Cowdung, T5: 100% Cowdung. Significant variations&#13;
were found in growth and yield parameters and nubient content of rice due to the&#13;
various combinations of organic and inorganic fertilizers. It seems from the results that&#13;
100% inorganic fertilizers (Ti) showed the best result during initial stage of plant height&#13;
but in later stages combination of organic and inorganic fertilizers (1'2) showed best&#13;
results (82.97cm and 91.87cm respectively). Leaf length, number of total tillers hilt1 and&#13;
number of effective tillers hill-' showed best result during different growth stages of rice&#13;
plant by using chemical fertilizer only (Ti) and all of that cases it was followed by 12.&#13;
Panicle length (22.52 cm), filled grain panicle-' (135.33), grain yield (4.07 t ha1), 1000 seed&#13;
weight (20.84 g) and dry weight of straw (0-45 kg rn-2) always counted superior result for&#13;
the treatment T2: 75 % inorganic fertilizers + 25% Cowdung. Percent unfilled grain&#13;
(17.1$) was highest in T5 and harvest index (45.45) was superior for the treatment Ti.&#13;
And all of the cases inferior results were given by T5 treatment i.e 100% Cowdung only.&#13;
Significant effect also found in different chemical composition of straw and grain by&#13;
using different combinations of fertilizer doses. Significantly the highest N, P and K&#13;
contents of grain and straw were recorded in T1 (100% Inorganic fertilizers) and 12 (75 %&#13;
Inorganic fertilizers + 25% Cowdung). The lowest N, P and K content in grain and straw&#13;
were found from the treatment using Cowdung (15) only.
